The Bouquet Toss
The Bouquet Toss originated in England where it was believed that a bride could bring fortune to any spectator
that could grab one of her flowers or a piece of her dress. To ensure that brides got away with their dress
intact they began to simply toss their bouquet to the spectators and of course if a woman caught it, it was
believed that she would be next to marry.
The bouquet toss is done around 2.5 hours into the reception, usually after a good dance set. We ask you in the
planning meetings how you want this event conducted. We generally call "all the single ladies please come to
the dance floor for the bouquet toss, but you must be old enough to sign a marriage license." This is done if
you are going to do the full garter routine for obvious reasons.
The music you choose for this event should be a fun song that you and your friends enjoy. This can end up being
a great ALL GIRL dance with the right crowd.
ONE! TWO! THREE! OOPS! THERE GOES THE CHANDELIER!
